CMR Centre for Business Studies celebrated Onam festival on 11th September 2019.
Onam is one of the most significant harvest festivals of Kerala to showcase the cultural heritage. Students and Staffs from different communities celebrated Onam with full zeal & flavors, wearing traditional Kerala saree and traditional dhotis.
The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (Pookkalam) in the Auditorium with an impressive design and artistic creativity of Pookkalam turned out to be attractive which took everyone into the world of festivity and fun.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. M P Hrishikesh, Director, CMR Centre for Business Studies, by highlighting traditional values of Onam celebrations.
Students treated the festive with a graceful dance called “Thiruvathirakali”. Several competitions were organized for students and staffs like musical chair, lemon and spoon, Gunny bag and most attracted activity was “Vadamvali malsaram”(Tug of War).
It was a day of joy and celebration in the college on the auspicious day of Thiruonam.
