Campus

CMRIMS is located Located near the arterial Old Madras road, in a lush green, quiet neighbourhood at OMBR Layout spread over two acres. The Campus reveived a National award for Best Institutional Architecture. (Profiled in A+D India) for the year 2007-08. With student housing integrated into the campus, students are a walk away from the library and campus cafeterias. The campus is also fully wi-fi so the students are constantly connected and mobile. The campus is at close proximity to supermarkets, cafes and etertainment options., Off-campus housing in the area is availabe at affordable prices. The campus is well connected by public transport, and students are barely 20 minutes from the city center. CMR also operates a fleet of buses picking up students from all parts of the city.

Computer labs

While the course heavily depends on students using personal laptops for research and study, students have access to high tech networked computer labs with the latest hardware and software. Computer labs are essential to learn from business simulation softwares and research. Students have full access to networked printers and other to print project reports, course ware and research materials. Students have access to dedicated project labs and business simulation labs. with 60 nodes , 2GB RAM, 17” TFT monitors monitors connected to Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Linux servers and SQL server 2000. Authorised versions of all software are available. The college has a campus agreement with Microsoft.

Audio-Visual room

The campus is equipped with a state of the art fully airconditioned, raked audio visual room that regularly hosts guest speakers and national seminars. The dedicated AV room is accousitcally treated and equipped to screen DVDs, record proceedings and help deliver an immersive learning experience.

Lecture theatres

All lecture rooms are bright, well ventilated, equipped with an LCD and OHP system with wi-fi access. Elective rooms are more intimate catering to small focus group discussions.

Auditorium

The campus boasts of a 600 seater fully equipped auditorium for cultural events, and seminars. Outdoors an beautifully designed amphitheatre forms a spectacular setting for fets and cultural events.

Cafeteria & Food Court

In house kitchens serve nutritious wholesome food. The canteen has dedicated student and staff areas and leads to open amphitheatre seating Food and beverage is made available to the student at subsidised prices. A Cafe Coffee Day is expected to start operations as course commences.

Library

The library at CMR Institute of Management Studies forms the heart of the college with more than seven thousand volumes for management students. Over 2000 Project reports from senior years have been preserved to guide students in their own research. Audio and video library is comprehensive with recordings of management seminars, talks and documentaries. Library subscribes to 15 news papers and 40 online journals and 142 national and international magazine journals. Students can also access the internet at the digital library section or on their personal laptops through wi-fi.

Hostel

Campus hostels, which house boys and girls separately, are well furnished with spacious comfortable rooms, lounges, TV, magazines and recreational facilities. The meals are hygenic, nutritionally balanced and served on time. The students form food commitees which decides the weekly menu. Resident warden strengthens the students sense of security and helps them them feel at home. Regular counselling and medical facilities are available. Accomodation is available for staff on campus. The housing is equipped with wi-fi broadband access.
